the crazy laugh...

so, we're trying lots of different shoes these days. no matter what, he is the master of taking them off! at the same time, he now has this really big funny laugh. (not sure where that came from!) anyhow, here's a shot of him conquering the shoes, onces again!

Gav vs. the Stairs, Part II

...And so it continues...
his obsession grows with every day... especially with every "Gav, no...."

so, once in awhile, he gets some adult supervised stair-time...

Well, today was Gav's 12 month check-up... all is good! He currently weighs 21 lbs, 14 oz (30%), he's 29.5" long (50%) and his head circumference is 19". (yes, 90%!) (for those of you who don't know, Gav has a hard time finding hats to fit his not-so-small noggin). The doctor did confirm that she sees 2 teeth coming in!

Gavin turns 1!!!!

wow. it's here! seriously, what an amazing year though... this lil' guy is the twinkle in our eyes. we had a great weekend filled with lotsa family and friends!!! right now, some of Gav's favorite things to do are: taking anything and everything off of the coffee table, trying to sneak some playtime on the stairs, opening and closing doors (especially if you are on the other side), looking in the frig, taking all of the tupperware out of the cabinets, bath-time, playing ball, anything that makes noise, riding in one of his scooters, crawling everywhere and "walking" really, really, really fast while holding our fingertips! his fav foods are fruit (so far any kind!), cheerios, black beans and rice cakes. he still doesn't like cottage cheese, and we can add pickles to the yucko list too! (wish i had a pic of that!)

gav was just cruising around the living room playing with the doggies when he noticed mark mowing the front lawn... he was talking, talking, talking to the boys and then all 3 of them were watching mark. i swear they had a conversation!

later that same day, watching mark and the neighbors in the cul-de-sac... he was "helping" me fold laundry when he heard mark's voice outside... he as was excited to see him! waving and talking (shrieking) like crazy!!!

kinda long, but so fun to see...
all of a sudden he was soooooo interested in the stairs. so, now we have a gate (that he's obsessed with) at the top and bottom.
oh how the decor is changing! :)
