my birthday weekend! (aka, Memorial Weekend)

my birthday weekend started out fabulously...

a big present from my boys, watering the tomatoes and flowers

the sudden appearance of the rain boots on the ultimately sunny morning...

ya know, the usual!

...sigh... 

fine.

i'm learning to pick my battles.

later that day, i get to learn my surprise that 

Gav got for me for my birthday!

we went to see the Lion King!

Mark is helping Gav get all situated

Gav was pretty excited!

(He actually did great for his first play...

a bit confused when people clapped after each scene

and he sat on his hands so no animals could get them!)

on a beautiful Saturday in Flojo Park with family and friends...

Mark's birthday!

one short week later, it was Mark's birthday! 

After a fun breakfast in bed, we headed to California Adventure to celebrate!
