...and there went january!

(usually we all go in mark's truck, much more room!)

so good to see his friends kian and declan!

(they met us at the dog park with their doggie, oso.)

...it's been entertaining at our house! i've been caring for my mom at a ucla facility-type hotel for the past couple of days. so, mark has been in charge of all things. )gav, the dogs, my mom's dog and her bootcamp follow-up training and maintenance, the house, the groceries, making the dog food, the laundry and oh yeah, going to work. so, he's been sending me pix to keep me in the loop. take a look!

last night my mom and i drove to orange county to meet mark, gav and erika.

(mark had just picked erika up at the airport so that she could start her shift as jojo's nurse)
we were able to have a fun time at dinner before we swapped nurses and i went home to my boys!

the end to a good night.

this morning, little stop for breakfast and some

quality hang-out time before work and babysitter.

lemon-lime...

had my "advanced maternal age" ultra-sound yesterday...
here are a couple of peeks at "lemon-lime'...

12.5 weeks
we got to see lotsa waving fingers and toes...
even some swallowing here and there.

a couple of quick peeks into jojo's progress in the last couple of days...

after her new hair-cut...

we were able to bring her home saturday morning.

(january 9th). at this point, we're unsure of the
time frame for her next treatment. we are hoping
that it will start in the next week and a half.

...ahhh the fresh air!!!

happy new year...

we welcome you, 2010!

we rang in the new year with our
good friends and neighbors, the Christiansens.

today i am 11 wks along...
eta is july 26... if a bit earlier, maybe on Grandma JoJo's birthday!

hmmm... summing up december 2009...

a month of change, hope and new beginnings...

while we were all so excited to start the holiday season,
an event shortly after my last post turned the
last 4 weeks into a frenzied blur.
as most of you know, my mother was diagnosed
with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. (AML). since the
morning of december 11, everything has been upside down and sideways.
BUT, the constant ray of sunshine has been our lil' GAVIN.
